The Cannero<\/strong> center cares for children from 0 to 4 years old; Padua<\/strong>, on the other hand, caters to children from 0 to 8 years old for diagnostic-functional consultations and children from 0 to 14 years old for intakes.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\tHow can I apply for a counseling\/stay?<\/span><\/div>

The request can be made only by parents or guardians by registering<\/a> on the website.
A wizard will help in the correct filling of the counseling application.
From the completion of the request to the first phone contact may take a few days. A psychologist will contact the family to identify together the most appropriate proposal for the child’s needs.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

The Foundation is attentive to the health of its guests and professionals, We ask you, therefore, for the protection of all, to avoid entering our facilities in case you have any doubt of having a contagious disease.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\tWhat is meant by diagnostic-functional counseling in the Padua Center?<\/span><\/div>

Diagnostic-functional counseling refers to a multidisciplinary observation by different specialist figures, aimed at sketching a picture of global development in its different aspects (sensory, neuromotor, affective-relational), identifying skills and needs of the child. During the counseling, the family can be hosted for the necessary days (usually in the mode of 3 consecutive days, or 5 meetings on a weekly basis, or in other modes).<\/p><\/div><\/div>

\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\tWhat is meant by diagnostic insights in the Padua Center?<\/span><\/div>

For diagnostic insights, the Robert Hollman Foundation makes use of eye examinations, orthoptic evaluations, electro-functional examinations, neuropsychiatric examinations.
Physicians visit within the Foundation thus being able to form a working group together with the practitioners, where everyone’s observations are shared before, during, and after each meeting, encouraging multidisciplinary integration work.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\tHow are stays in Cannero Riviera structured?<\/span><\/div>

In each stay we welcome about 4 families by offering them the opportunity to stay in private rooms with bathrooms at a floor of our facility entirely dedicated to residency. We think the opportunity to share daily life among parents is a strength of our proposal. We offer both individual and parent\/child group activities.
On weekends, families can return home considering that no activities are planned.

The activities are designed according to the needs and requirements of each child while respecting his or her specificities, and we believe that the presence of parents is a key aspect of the course.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\tWho will follow my child?<\/span><\/div>

For each child, depending on the situation and time, his or her needs and requirements, two\/three professionals are identified among the multidisciplinary team who will interact directly with the little one and his or her family. Team work is coordinated by the psychologist or educationalist.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\tCan professionals who already follow the child externally to the Foundation also come?<\/span><\/div>

With parental permission, professionals in charge of the child may enter the Foundation during activities, subject to agreement with the facility. In any case, with the aim of fostering the continuity of our project and, recognizing the role and importance of territorial services, it is our care to try to establish an exchange and mutual professional cooperation through telephone contacts.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\tWhen the child turns 4, is it automatic to switch from the Cannero location to the Padua location?<\/span><\/div>

No, one of the goals during the intake phase at the Cannero site concerns building, together with the parents, a network in the area that can take care of the child. Depending on the situation and needs, a project involving both locations can be agreed upon.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\tWhat should I bring for overnight stays or consultations?<\/span><\/div>

It is important for us that you bring:
– Medical records
– All medications\/medical devices needed by your child
– Valid ID of those staying overnight at the Foundation<\/p><\/div><\/div>

The Foundation is pleased to offer all activities completely free of charge.<\/strong>

The Foundation is not affiliated with the National Health System and therefore no medical commitments are necessary.

Should you wish to make a donation we list below the different possibilities:
– directly to the secretary’s office
– through our website in the dedicated section
– through the Parents’ Association “Blue Flowers”<\/p><\/div><\/div>

\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\tHow much does accommodation cost in the Foundation?<\/span><\/div>

During stays in the Cannero office and during consultations in the Padua office, the family can be hosted in the Foundation.

The Foundation is pleased to host families in its premises totally free of charge.<\/strong>

Should parents choose to stay overnight outside the facility, the costs will be borne by the family. In this case, we may provide information with respect to some accommodations in the vicinity of the Foundation.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\tHow does the accommodation work?<\/span><\/div>

For the Cannero Riviera location: the family will have a room with private bathroom equipped with a double sofa bed, single bed, next2me crib for the child, kitchenette (refrigerator, sink, microwave), high chair, changing table and hair dryer. Common areas with other families are also available: large living room with TV corner and play corner, spacious kitchen equipped with everything needed for meals, laundry room with washer and dryer.
No cafeteria service is provided.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\tIs there a medical\/nursing service?<\/span><\/div>

Neither location has a medical\/nursing service available, so in case of medical need, reference is made to the referring territorial hospital through the emergency numbers.
For the Cannero Riviera location, the referral facility is the Verbania hospital 15 km away.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\tAre there physicians in the team?<\/span><\/div>

In the Cannero Riviera<\/strong> office:
– a child neuropsychiatrist is present during some stays as a Medical Consultant available for families thanks to an agreement with the Casimiro Mondino National Neurological Institute of Pavia.

In the Padua<\/strong> location there are (not for the entire opening hours):
– a pediatric ophthalmology specialist for eye examinations
– a pediatrics and child neuropsychiatry specialist and electrophysiology expert thanks to a scientific collaboration with the University of Ferrara
– a neuropediatrics specialist thanks to a clinical collaboration with the University of Ferrara<\/p><\/div><\/div>

\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\tHow do I cancel or postpone appointments?<\/span><\/div>

In case you need to cancel the date of appointments, please notify the office as soon as possible so that the appointment can be arranged for other waiting families.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

The in-person mode is the preferred mode for all counseling and intake activities. If necessary, with specific and agreed objectives, meetings can be conducted in online mode.<\/p><\/div><\/div>
