From Saturday, Feb. 28, the Cannero Riviera center is in celebration

As per tradition, the Robert Hollman Foundation is participating in the “The citrus fruits of Cannero Riviera“, the fragrant and colorful festival that opens its program on Saturday, Feb. 28, for two weekends in a row, and then concludes on Sunday, March 8. This is an opportunity for the Foundation to reaffirm its deep connection with the town overlooking Lake Maggiore, where 47 years ago the first steps were taken to support and accompany the development of children with visual impairment, and which today is a well-established reality with two Centers, in Cannero and Padua, that welcome more than 400 children and their families each year.

“The reddest” is the theme of this 19th edition, which highlights the tasty pigmented oranges: excursions, visits, tastings, workshops, concerts, shows… the Cannero festival presents an increasingly rich and diversified program of initiatives, and the FRH Center of Cannero Riviera, once again this year, offers its free multisensory workshop.

The “Let’s immerse ourselves in red” experience is aimed at children as well as adults: in the spaces of the Center at Via Oddone Clerici 6, one will enter an environment to be known and discovered with all the senses. Through visual, tactile, olfactory and auditory materials and proposals, it will be possible to experience a moment of perception of all one’s senses. In addition, there will also be some play proposals to discover and learn about with your hands, and you can contribute to the Easter campaign of the Blue Flowers Association – Friends of the Robert Hollman Foundation. This year, the goal is to increase copies of the tactile picture book “I Feel” on the theme of emotions, which will also be enriched with a digital version to be more accessible to children, especially those with visual impairment. In exchange for a minimum donation of 8.00 euros you will receive a small bag of milk chocolate eggs with cereal (www.associazionefioriblu.it)

The doors of the Center, therefore, will remain open to all on Saturday, Feb. 28 and Sunday, March 1, and Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
