A tailored physiotherapy program fosters the development of a sense of movement, which is meant to develop the perception and discovery of one’s self and body as they move in a space. Moreover, for the child with visual impairment it becomes a cognitive tool to interact with others and their environment, as well as a means of expressing their desires, needs and interests, and a way of developing skills of orientation and mobility. The physiotherapy pathway helps the development and strengthening of psychomotor and neuromotor abilities for communicative, oriented and finalized movements that can be adapted to the context.
